The Road to Cure Earth Watchalongs series continues as we move on to our next mid-season Cure to be featured, Iona Hikawa aka Cure Fortune from Happiness Charge PreCure! But before that, here are my top 5 moments from her!
5. Iona's reconciliation with Himewa
A good sign after a quite so long misunderstanding and distrust over a very accusing terrible mistake, both Himewa and Iona are now in good terms and working hand in hand to fight the Phantom Empire without any unfortunate distraction.
4. Her confession with Yuya-kun
I like how Yuya-kun takes a step that he has a crush on our lucky star, which in turn becomes a tremendous key for Fortune to activate her Innocent form by confessing her own feelings to him, so that's why I totally shipped them too aside from Megumi/Lovely and Seiji.
3. The karate dojo heiress
Much like Itsuki Myoudouin before her, Iona is an incredible karate fighter which makes her badass both in and out of the battle arenas and that's what I really adore about her very much.
2. A tension showdown vs the PreCure Hunter
Rivalries in the Cure series is one of the things for its constant longevity and this one is no exception. Even before we learned about being an actual mascot fairy, Phantom is really strong as the PreCure Hunter and considers to be a huge rival to Iona.
1. Her love with her sister is priceless
A-yup, Happiness Charge! really has major-major flaws, but what makes it very nice at least is the sisterly bond between Iona and Maria because I just love them so much. Maria, or rather Cure Tender, has taken the hit for her imouto which triggers the latter to follow her footsteps for the rescue. Tender's brainwashing made me shock and the showdown between sisters had been getting on my nerves, but fortunately she returned to normal safely.
